Q1. Hi Aviral Varshney! What motivated you to become an influencer?
Since my early days in college, I always wanted to become famous and be recognized by the people. So I started my journey as an influencer as a pass time initially, but then I got serious about it later.
Q2. How does a casual day look like for you?
A casual day for me is going to work, coming back home, and spending some quality time with my family.
Q3. What according to you is your Unique Selling Point?
According to me, my USP is that I am not just focused in a particular niche. I promote a wide variety of products, be it Lifestyle/Grooming/Fashion, etc.
Q4. Which was your most exciting campaign so far and what about it challenged you as an influencer?
I was a part of the Flipkart Ideas Campaign which launched the new feature of Influencer Generated content on the Flipkart App. It was challenging as earlier I used to shy away from video content, but for this campaign I had to create a lot of videos.
Q5. How do you choose the brands you work with? What are the criteria?
I only work with brands that I resonate with and only promote them after using their offerings for a week or two.
Q6. What strategies do you use to measure the results of your social influencer campaign?
I keep a track of the Instagram analytics, keep checking what works and what doesn’t for my profile.
Q7. Your biggest professional 'aha' moment so far has been?
Being featured on the official page of @shopperstop was an amazing boost during the start of my career.
Q8. How has your life changed since becoming an influencer?
It has improved my confidence a lot. It feels amazing when people recognize you or tell you that they follow you.
Q9. What does the future of influencer marketing look like to you with respect to brand building?
According to me, the future of influencer marketing looks bright as nowadays more and more brands are exploring this segment of marketing.
Q 10. What has been your biggest professional failure till date? What did you learn from it?
My biggest professional failure was sticking to just one social media platform (Instagram), and not exploring other platforms. Nowadays, I have started to explore new platforms.
Q 11. If you had to give one advice to the new bloggers/influencers in your field of work, what would that be?
The first advice that I give to everyone who wants to start a career as an influencer is to engage with your audience. Make sure that your audience feels like they know you and you know them.
Q 12. How has working with an influencer marketing agency benefitted your career?
Influencer marketing agencies help in bridging the gap between influencers and the brands. Working with an influencer marketing agency has made it easier for me to connect with brands and also for the brands to reach out to me. Had these agencies not been in the picture, I highly doubt how a brand would reach out to me and execute campaigns. It is also easier dealing with agencies than the brand itself. They help in ideation and do a better job in resolving my queries.
