Q1. Hi Aakriti! What motivated you to become an influencer?
From my college days, I was always appreciated for my dressing sense. I usually try to make different combinations that suit me well because I believe it is very important to feel good from inside. Then suddenly, a thought came in my mind that why not start influencing other people and help them with their lifestyle.
Q2. How does a casual day look like for you?
In the Blogging world, every single day comes with a different approach and experiences. All you need to do is explore as much as you can. There is hardly a day I get to take an off. My day starts at 6 am when I have to rush to the gym as it’s an important part of my job i.e. maintaining a perfect body. Then I work on my blogs and all other social media handles with a thought of bringing out something new. Finally, I take out some time for myself and my family.
Q3. What according to you is your Unique Selling Point?
I would say that the content you make and deliver gives a great impact to the brands. I am really good at making precise and effective content. Also, I have good speaking skills, which is a plus point.
Q4. Which was your most exciting campaign so far and what about it challenged you as an influencer?
My most exciting campaign was for Oriflame. It was regarding the Oriflame ride towards sustainability where we planted the seeds and performed different environment-friendly practices for the production of beauty ingredients. I got to learn a lot from the workshop and had an amazing experience. It was really difficult to work in the scorching heat and manage the plantation.
Q5. How do you choose the brands you work with? What are the criteria?
I believe that the brands should be promising and truthful with their products. If a brand has good and effective products, I like to work with it, and share its reviews and products with my audience.
Q6. What strategies do you use to measure the results of your social influencer campaign?
I generally check the insights of the post and stories I add up. What matters more to me is the response I get from the people. Their DM’s and Comments give me the best output.
Q7. Your biggest professional 'aha' moment so far has been?
For me the ‘aha’ moment was when the people who didn't considered me a competitor started talking about my achievements and hard work. It boosted me to move closer to my goal.
Q8. How has your life changed since becoming an influencer?
My life has changed a lot. It feels great when people love your lifestyle and want to know everything about you. I have experienced this a lot.
Q9. What does the future of influencer marketing look like to you with respect to brand building?
Influencer marketing is certainly growing day by day. Social Media has a great impact on the people nowadays. People are more active on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. These Platforms give the brands a great opportunity for promotions and business.
Q 10. What was your biggest professional failure to date? What did you learn from it?
By god’s grace, I have not failed anywhere till now. I try to learn from each phase of my life. Learning makes you feel stronger and confident.
Q 11. If you had to give one advice to the new bloggers/influencers in your field of work, what would that be?
Be Patient, Work Hard. Things may take time. You may grow slow, but in the end – “Slow and Steady Wins the Race”.
