THE Pro Wrestling League is a big leap in the history of oldest combat sport. An initiative of ProSportify and Wrestling Federation of India, PWL is the richest wrestling event ever. The league in the inaugural year offers a prize purse of Rupees 15 crore including the total prize purse of Rs. 3 crore.
To promote the first season of PWL, the organizers wanted to create a major digital buzz around the event; inform viewers about the star potential of the wrestlers and get the various hashtags related to the event trend on Facebook.
Hashtag Based Influencer Activity
In order to create an enormous digital buzz around PWL, Blogweet executed hashtag based campaign for 15 days, in which we promoted one hashtag per day through a series of a sustained influencer activities.
We received a tremendous response on Twitter for the PWL campaign and got each hashtag to trend in first 5 positions for all 15 days. This in turned greatly increased the total viewership of the event, which was exactly what the client desired.
